Staff Geotechnical Engineer
Ocean Township, NJ
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Staff Geotechnical Engineer. This position offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering to develop their skills and gain practical experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for geotechnical engineering.

Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in conducting geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
- Perform fieldwork, including soil and rock sampling, drilling supervision, and geotechnical instrumentation installation.
- Conduct laboratory testing on soil and rock samples to determine their engineering properties.
- Collect and analyze geotechnical data from various sources, including field investigations, laboratory tests, and previous project reports.
- Prepare technical reports, including site investigation findings, laboratory test results, and geotechnical design recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of geotechnical design calculations and drawings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, architects, and environmental specialists, to ensure geotechnical considerations are incorporated into project designs.
- Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Adhere to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to geotechnical engineering.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT (Engineer in Training) certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and soil mechanics.
- Proficiency in geotechnical investigation methods, field testing techniques, and laboratory testing procedures.
- Familiarity with geotechnical software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in the field as required.
