Job Description

Primary Job Responsibilities: 

  • Adhere to and promote all Company Safety Policies and the Company Code of Conduct.
  • Offload, organize, stack and protect materials and equipment
  • Transport material and equipment to the work area as required
  • Utilizes a variety of material handling equipment and devices, when authorized and licensed to do so.
  • Assists skilled tradesmen with layout, fabrication, installation and finishing construction products, systems and assemblies
  • Hand excavates trenches and pits with shovels, bars, picks and power equipment
  • Work with operators to rough grade, compact and fine grade soils and aggregate products
  • Work with operators to install and remove shoring, lagging and all other support of earth systems
  • Set precast concrete structures
  • Install concrete, plastic, ductile, corrugated, steel and other types of pipe and related products
  • Set manhole rings to grade with brick and mortar and install brick sewer inverts
  • Mix mortar, stock scaffolds and otherwise support masons
  • Sawcut, chip, jackhammer and scarify existing concrete structures and surfaces
  • Performs fire watch, confined space monitoring, flagging and traffic control when trained and authorized to do so.
  • Erect scaffolding, ladders, temporary enclosures, walkways, temporary doors, etc.
  • Perform demolition work, including, temporary supports, cutting with saws and torches, rip out, disposal and cleanup.
  • Set up construction equipment and systems, such as heaters, pumps, temporary power, etc.
  • Assist with installation and stripping of various types of concrete formwork, including edge, custom, handset, gang, structural slab and construction joints.
  • Install reinforcing steel and accessories
  • Mix, place, consolidate and screed concrete.
  • Install waterproofing and damproofing products and systems
  • Installs insulation products of all types.
  • Prepare and paints surfaces, using various preparation and application techniques.
  • Adhere to all Company Safety Policies.
  • Performs miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent on the job training required.
  • Ability to follow specific instruction; perform a variety of duties that change often
  • Repeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures
  • Work within standard of accuracy; and evaluate information using measurable standards.
  • Physically, worker must be able to stand and walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolding and other objects and carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, see and hear (naturally or with correction).
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Must possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
